Dr.Vasuki Mathivanan (Founder & President of IAPS, Indian Academy of Professional Supervisors) facilitated a session on the theme, Professional Supervision – An Overview & Orientation of RISE UP Model for the Department of Psychology, Union Christian College Aluva on 26th September 2020

IAPS has reached great heights of success in a short duration of just one year from the time of its establishment. It’s prevalence is evidently seen by its accomplishments. Amidst this pandemic situation of 21 days of lockdown IAPS has played an integral role in creating awareness through posters, writrups and support of the geriatric community through tele counselling IAPS is thankful to the media for its support and effort taken to spread the awareness of psychological services and for emphasizing it’s importance. Dr.Vasuki Mathivanan, Founder and President of IAPS has given a detailed description of the need for psychological support especially in this phase of lockdown and how much of a difference it could make among the people by implementing it in a large scale.
